Per CNN:
"In the wake of an attack like this, in the fog of war, there's always going to be confusion," Clinton said. "And I think it is absolutely fair to say that everyone had the same intelligence. Everyone who spoke tried to give the information that they had. As time has gone on, that information has changed. We've gotten more detail, but that's not surprising. That always happens."
Except that her statement absolutely contradicts the facts. Either not everyone had the same intelligence, which would account for the White House claiming that a YouTube video was to blame, or everyone did have the same intelligence, and the White House, and Mrs. Clinton, lied about the nature of the attack from the beginning. Which was it?
Remember, Hillary Clinton said, while standing in front of Ambassador Stevens' coffin, that the YouTube video was to blame. That was several days after the fact. So did she have a rogue State Department which wasn't even reporting intelligence to the Secretary of State, or was she lying? What is absolutely impossible is for everyone to have had the same intelligence and yet for them to haven been giving "the information that they had." That statement is completely false on its face.
What this really says is that, once again, the Affirmative Action President has to be absolved of responsibility for a failure of his Administration. Remember that, during the 2008 Primaries, Mrs. Clinton claimed that responsibility for the State Department, stopped at the President, not the Secretary of State. Now she's claiming that Barack Obama couldn't possibly bear any responsibility; it should all fall on her shoulders.
A competent President would have already accepted responsibility. A competent President wouldn't have lied about the attack, claiming it was a "spontaneous demonstration" over some video for over a week while the world knew it was a terror attack. A competent President wouldn't have had the filmmaker arrested in a literal midnight raid.
